There is one 24" Wescam based in Thailand. It has recently been adapted so that it can shoot either on 35mm (Arri 435ES with 400' magazine) or on HD (Sony FD900R) which has the great advantage of giving you much longer shooting time before needing to land to re-load.

There are not many civil helicopters available to shoot from in Thailand, so normally we'll end up with a military UH-1N or similar twin engined 'Huey' from either the air force or Navy (depending on where we're shooting). We now have a pretty good relationship with several of the pilots, who are becoming more experienced at filming work.
